Two people, Sarah Thompson and Julian Salazar, were arrested on animal cruelty charges. They face six counts, which are Class A misdemeanors. The charges stem from the discovery of a dead dog and six malnourished dogs.

The dogs were found on a property where deputies responded to a call. A spokesperson for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said the dogs were extremely thin, with one describing them as "skin and bone". Despite dog food being present in the house, the dogs were not fed.

The six surviving dogs were rescued and are now in the custody of Animal Care Services. Further details about the case and the investigation are available from the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.
