A memorial in San Antonio honoring 53 migrants who died in a smuggling tragedy has been vandalized again. The memorial, located on Quintana Road, had several crosses damaged. These crosses had the Mexican flag colors painted on them.

The damage was discovered on a Wednesday morning and is being investigated by the San Antonio Police Department as criminal mischief. It is not clear if the damage was intentional.

Further details about the incident and the investigation are available through KSAT 12. The city is working to address vandalism at the memorial site.
