A new cold storage facility is being developed in Schertz, located along the northeast corridor. The project, called STX Frio, is a joint venture between Houston-based Boomerang Industrial and investment firm Marble Capital.

The facility will span 325,274 square feet and is situated on a 25-acre tract at 22218 FM 2252. Boomerang Industrial acquired the property in 2022, with the land last appraised at approximately $2.6 million.
